From the Pastor's Desk | June 1, 2025

Today we celebrate the Solemnity of the Ascension of our Lord Jesus Christ who takes his place at the right hand of the Father.  The Ascension points us to our destiny, to what we are rightly ordered toward - eternal beatitude with God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  We pray that after our sojourn through this life comes to its end, we hear those words spoken from Jesus himself, “Well done good and faithful servant.  Enter into the joy of the Kingdom.”  Let us make that our prayer today. 

I don’t have much written this weekend.  Last weekend was Memorial Day weekend and I took a couple of days away.  I played golf on Monday.  On Tuesday, I spent the day at Timber Ridge Golf Course watching the regional golf finals.  Both Lansing Catholic and Father Gabriel Richard High Schools were playing at the same site.  Congratulations to Lansing Catholic on winning the regional title and qualifying for the state finals!  Congratulations to Lansing Catholic’s Hayden Riley who won a playoff to earn individual medalist honors!  Let us keep them in prayer!
