Nominations are currently being accepted for parishioners interested in serving on the St. Martha Parish Pastoral Council (PPC). One at-large position is open for a three-year term. New members are selected by lot from among the nominees and terms are renewable once, for a total of 6 years of service. Meetings are generally held on the first Thursday of every other month.
Potential members should be active, participating members of St. Martha Parish, interested in the needs of and enthusiastic about our parish, and be willing to commit to the betterment of St. Martha Parish and School by actively participating in meetings.
The PPC is an advisory council that helps and advises the pastor. It is not a governance council and is not a policy making council of the parish. Rather, its purpose is not to vote on matters, but to provide the pastor with information needed to assist him in carrying out the pastoral mission of his office and that of the parish.
Individuals interested in being considered to serve on the PPC should contact PPC Chair John Saltzgaber (517-881-6112 or saltzgaberj@comcast.net) no later than Friday, May 3, 2024. Your consideration of this call to service is appreciated.
