When we experience the death of a loved one, a neighbor, and someone in the Parish, one of the first things many of us do is come into the Parish Office to schedule a Mass Intention for the repose of their soul. Almost always, these Masses provide a measure of comfort and healing to the family of the deceased, providing special graces to them, the individual who requested the Mass, and the priest who offers that Mass.
Many of us have also experienced the blessing of having a Mass said for us on a birthday, anniversary, for healing, or in thanksgiving. Scheduling a Mass for an individual who is living, is a beautiful way to lift them up in the powerful prayers at Mass.
If you would like to learn more, this article does an excellent job of diving deeper into why Mass Intentions are such an important part of our faith.
We have all experienced a huge amount of grief and loss in the last 2-1/2 years, and as such our Mass Intentions are scheduled completely for 2022 and 2023.
We are now scheduling dates from January through June of 2024.
You can schedule dates for your loved ones by visiting our Parish Office during weekday business hours, Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4 pm.
