What makes Scriptural Stations of the Cross different?
Our traditional stations that are depicted around the church are not fully based on biblical accounts. The Scriptural Stations are all rooted in the Gospels and is a tradition developed by St. John Paul the Great in 1991.
Over the past several years, St. Martha has developed a tradition each Lent of incorporating praise and worship music with the Gospel reflections of the Scriptural Stations of the Cross for a truly unique liturgical experience. This year’s Scriptural Stations of the Cross will be held on Friday, March 28, at 7:00 pm in the church.
A small group of talented musicians will lead contemporary songs that will touch your heart as you pray through the last hours of Jesus’s life. This Lent, we invite you to join us and bring a friend along to encounter the Lord in a different way.
