The Music Ministry is one of the most important areas of service to the liturgical life of a parish. Saint Paul advised the Colossians to, “let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, as in all wisdom you teach and admonish one another, singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God” (Colossians 3:16). That is the calling of every member of the worshiping assembly, and is the special calling of music ministers to teach, encourage, inspire, and lead them by example.
Our Music Ministry embraces this exhortation and strives to give God glory through music that is prayerful, excellent in quality, appropriate to the parts of the Mass, and helps all who come to Encounter Jesus in Word and in Sacrament.

The Adult Choir provides music for select 10 am Sunday Masses and various liturgical celebrations, from late fall through Pentecost. This group is open to anyone high school age through adult who can carry a tune. Music-reading skills are very helpful, but not required.
Rehearsals are held on Thursday evenings from 7 to 8 pm ahead of singing on Sunday. During liturgicals seasons of Advent and Lent, practices are more frequent to prepare for Christmas and Easter Triduum respectively.

Cantors lead music at all weekend and Holy Day Masses. They are expected to prepare music on their own, but individual rehearsals are available to any cantors who wish to take advantage of them. This ministry is open to anyone high school age through adult.

Anyone who plays a musical instrument, whether wind, brass, string, harp, or other type, is welcome and encouraged to play at our weekend and Holy Day Masses. An audition is required, and instrumentalists need to prepare the music on their own. Warm-ups occur 30 minutes before each liturgy, and additional rehearsal time can be arranged.
