Installation has begun on the Lockout SmartBoot system and our IT/security upgrades. You’ve likely not seen anything because both vendors, Lockout
and Moss, have been working in the evenings and well into the night so as not to disrupt work or the school. Thus far, I am very impressed with both vendors. Everything has gone well so far with very few glitches. If it continues as planned, this should wrap up by the second week of April!
Thank You
I need to publicly thank our staff - Hallie, Claire, Andrea, Jackie, Cynthia, Gregg, Tony, Joey, Claudia, our teachers, and everyone else! We’ve been doing a lot. Like I said above, many have not seen everything that has been going on, but it has been quite a project behind the scenes in addition to our “normal” workload. So, THANK YOU very much for your patience and hard work. They have been and continue to be an amazing group of people!
Triduum
If you have not celebrated the Triduum - the high holy days of Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and the Easter Vigil - then I highly encourage you to this year. The three liturgies are meant to be recognized as one long liturgical celebration of Christ’s Passion and Resurrection. They are beautiful liturgies, and I just encourage you to come and celebrate the Lord’s Passion with the Church as the Church intends. In addition to that, we will be welcoming 19 people into the Church at the Easter Vigil. I hope for a packed church to welcome everyone into the faith. Yes, the Easter Vigil is long, but it is the vigil of all vigils and an amazing celebration.
Gospel Reflection
Today, we celebrate the Lord’s Passion on this Passion/Palm Sunday. As Jesus entered Jerusalem to celebrate the Passover Feast, the crowds were filled with excitement as they cried out, “Hosanna” and, “Glory to God on high!” Soon thereafter, however, those shouts of excitement and joy would turn to shouts of hatred and condemnation as they cried out, “Crucify him! Crucify him!”
Jesus had His eyes focused on one thing - the Cross. He came, not for the admiration or the glory, but to accomplish the Father’s mission of taking on the Cross. As we pray today, let us keep our eyes on the Cross. Let us strive to do the Father’s will in our lives. Whatever crosses we are enduring, let us unite them to Christ’s Cross knowing that the resurrection lies beyond that gate. Hail the Cross, our only hope!
