My name is Jack Jobst, and I am very excited to begin my time at St. Martha's with you all.
I was raised in the Ann Arbor area, the 5th of 10 kids, in a Catholic family. I began to feel called to the priesthood as I went through high school and found that the one thing that would constantly bring me peace, joy, and fulfillment was prayer and spending time with God. I continued to experience and explore the love and mercy of God in my life as I was going through my senior year of high school, and the desire grew in me to share with others what I had received. I had drawn close to God, especially through the holy sacrifice of the Mass, the sacrament of Reconciliation, and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Through these experiences, Jesus invited me to share in his priestly ministry for the salvation of souls.
I am now beginning my final year of seminary formation as I am ordained to the Diaconate on May 11th. I am looking forward to this year with you and I pray that we may together grow closer to our risen Lord, Jesus Christ.
