At St. Martha School, we believe that a child’s success is strongest when parents and school work together. Families are an essential part of our community, and we invite parents to actively partner with us by sharing their time, talent, and treasure in support of our students and staff.
There are many meaningful ways for parents to be involved whether in the classroom, at school events, or behind the scenes. From volunteering at our annual fundraiser to helping in the lunchroom, chaperoning field trips, or assisting teachers, every contribution helps enrich the educational experience for our children.
All parents of St. Martha School students are members of our Parent Service Organization (PSO).
We are excited to welcome you to the St. Martha PSO, a unique and inclusive approach to parent involvement. Unlike traditional PTOs with regular meetings and a small leadership group, our PSO is built on the idea that every parent has something valuable to offer.
Whether you are available during the school day, in the evenings, or prefer to help behind the scenes, there are opportunities for everyone to be involved.
No regular meetings – just meaningful ways to support our school community
School-wide involvement – parents are encouraged to volunteer where their interests or availability align
Open to new ideas – have a suggestion or want to help in a new way? Email us anytime at PSO@st-martha.org
Easy sign-ups – volunteer opportunities are shared throughout the year in our weekly News Notes
As outlined in the St. Martha School Covenant, parents commit to supporting the school through their time, talent, and treasure. With reduced tuition rates, the generous involvement of our families plays a vital role in supporting student programs, events, and daily school life.
20 volunteer hours per family
10 volunteer hours for preschool-only families or single-parent families
Volunteer opportunities vary throughout the year and may include:
Lunchroom help and supervision
Classroom assistance
Teacher and staff appreciation efforts
School-wide events such as Meet the Miracles, Fun Day, VIP Day, and St. Nicholas Treat Bags
Fundraising activities including the Fall Campaign and Lenten Bake Sales
Supporting special programs such as Science Olympiad or school athletics
Behind-the-scenes support, including food prep or fundraiser mailings
Some opportunities require just a short time commitment, while others benefit from many helping hands, but every contribution makes a difference.
Volunteer opportunities are posted regularly in the weekly News Notes. We are grateful for the strong partnership we share with our families and for the many ways parents help make St. Martha School a vibrant, faith-filled community.
