Deacon Jim Collom

Deacon Jim, ordained in May 2023 for the Diocese of Lansing, is excited to begin his diaconal ministry! He looks forward to serving the good people of Saint Martha in word, sacrament, and charity. He holds a bachelor’s degree in crop and soil sciences (Agronomy) and a master’s degree in theology.

Deacon Jim grew up in Metro-Detroit and, after spending nearly a decade living on the East Coast, returned to Michigan in 2010 with his wife Lynn to raise their two children. They reside in Okemos and enjoy spending time in northern Michigan at the family cabin.
