Father Mike was born in Detroit and raised in East Lansing. He attended Gabriels High School, Michigan State University (English / Phys Ed), and the University of Michigan (Law). He was employed by the State of Michigan for many years, after which he began another career working for the Diocese of Lansing.
He was married in 1985 to Linda Jackson, ordained a permanent deacon in 2005, widowed when Linda died in 2014, and ordained a priest in 2016. In 2017, he was assigned to lead Saint Martha Parish. His son, daughter-in-law, and three grandchildren live in New York City. His daughter lives in Portland, Maine.
Father Mike has found a home at Saint Martha. He is excited that the parish is becoming an attractive place for young families, as they see us forming disciples in the school, the religious education program, the youth groups, and the programming for young adults and persons of all ages.
