Sacrament of the Sick

In earlier generations, this Sacrament was labeled “Extreme Unction” or “Last Rites” and was thought to be reserved for those approaching death. However, the Church now celebrates this Sacrament with anyone facing surgery or significant health challenges. And, of course, it still is appropriate for those who are dying.
